Portia Da Costa - Tempted by Two

*I was given this book in exchange for an honest review*
Another great book by this author, the writing seemed to struggle at times, there were a few times when it seemed to be lacking any real conversation but other times seemed to fit perfectly, i've read the authors work before and enjoyed this book just as much if not more than the others, it's a short read but a good one.
The book is based on 3 main characters who embark on a week+ of fantasy fulfilling, long walks and idle chatter, they grow as friends and lovers but eventually the time comes when they must all go back to the real world, no one wants that and after debating and discussing the couple decide to win their lovely female friend back.
I felt Owen was sometimes quite distant and cold so i didn't really connect with him until right at the end were he was all kisses and touching and quite loving.

Marina Anderson - Touch (The Dining Club - Book 5)

This book was much better than the last two, i felt the story was beginning to drift off and lose it's point however it just picked it's self up and got good :)
We hear about the real feeling felt by all of the characters except the twins, Andrew is making his move and it'll be interesting to see what happens in the next book, David seems to be coming undone but there are a few books left to go so i feel we won't learn much more until towards the end, i still feel the need to scream and kick at Amber but i think that's the point. I don't have much more to add since i simply want to get back to reading the next book and tie off lose ends.

Marina Anderson - Desire (The Dining Club - Part 1)

Another fantastic write by Marina Anderson, The book begins with an ordinary relationship that we soon learn needs to change in order to become something much more, we don't get given too much detail and it definitely kept me wanting more, I love this authors style of writing and will continue to follow.

Marina Anderson - Seduce (The Dining Club Book 4)

This book was so far the worst, it's the end of one meeting and the start of another which leaves me in limbo when i can't start the next book straight away, David is becoming cruel, Amber is sadistic and poor grace is left feeling a little over her head, with out this book the story wouldn't work however i'd of preferred a little more story line or more pages, the stories seem shorter in material and encounters becoming more breif.

Marina Anderson - Crave (The Dining Club Book 3)

My thoughts were confirmed, David is an ass, i feel for Grace so much.
I really wanted this story to show how much David did really care for her however shielding them from the press, pushing her above her levels on only her second bdsm related events, no safeword mentioned and having some stranger penetrate her without discussing it first just makes me want to slap him and drag her out of there to show her not every one into kink it that cruel.
I'll keep reading and see if my opinion changes, the book is brilliant in the sense it keeps me wanting to read more, it's just this main character i don't like.

Marina Anderson - Bound (The Dining Club - Book 2)

(I was given this book in return for an honest review)
I loved it as much as book 1 except for the empty, coldness that radiated off David, as a novice to Kink surely some care should be taken when setting boundaries, to not discuss 'other people' being involved is a blurry line that shouldn't be crossed so it put me on the back foot, also it's cruel but i'm voting for Andrew to get closer to Grace.
The story didn't hold any major points so i look forward to continuing the story with these characters and finding out more about The Dining Room.

E. L. Todd - Only For You

I received this as an ARC in return for an honest review Smile

I fell in love with Scarlet within a few pages, she was sassy, feisty and had a good head on her shoulders, she’s the kind of friend everyone needs and some of the things she said had me in stitches.

I felt for Sean, i think we’ve all had a bad spell with love at some point and it’s not nice however i found myself wishing he got a taste of his own medicine when he used his best friend.

I wanted things to work with Cortland and Scarlet, i really wanted her to be over Sean until he booked up his idea’s and sorted himself out, i was then glad Cortland had found someone new.

Overall the book was brilliant, i felt all emotions when reading it and after putting it down couldn’t stop thinking about it, there were some loose ends that need wrapping up which i assume with happen in book 2 but i wanted to know the mother had died a cruel and horrible death!

My only criticism would be there was a little over use with the word brat, it sounds like a very harsh word (i don’t hear it used often in the UK), like you would say to hurt someone's feelings and i don’t think scarlet in all her playfulness was being brattish.

All in all I'll be reading book 2 when it’s released and i recommend this book to anyone that loved a romance novel with some pretty gritty sex scenes in it.

Erika Ashby - No Going Back

After reading book 1 i couldn't let go of the shock ending and went ahead and bought book 2, i don't regret it at all.

The story starts off where the last one ended, with some 2 bit hussy making an entrance with a motive, we could all see it a mile off but Seth didn't. when that goes tits up you'd think things would settle back down but oh no! So after drama, another nearly wedding and a death things get back on the right tracks but for me that's where things started to go wrong with this read, i loved Seth, he was the playboy, bad ass, male slut of the band and he was hot. He was transformed into this sweet talking, sloppy ass that made crude jokes, over the top speeches about his undying love and wouldn't shut up about how perfect his girlfriend was, it was lovely at first to think someone as messed up could fix him but then it just got to much and i wanted to slap him.

There is a third part, a novella from the first MC's husband but i won't be buying it, i'd be sure to follow the author and i'm sure the novella is interesting however the character didn't captivate me and i'm not interested in his version of events.

Rucy Ban - All my life

Firstly having a name like Rucy makes this author awesome but the book wasn't too bad either :)

The story is about a girl who has the worst entry into 'adulthood' after a boy who makes her feel special, gives her the attention she needs and then when he takes the one things from her no one can replace, he films it and black mails her until she's left scared, broke and withdrawn.
The boy in this story is sick and twisted and a horrible bully, when she finally meets someone who wants to trust as much as she does she can't seem to let go of her fears, he father the worthless so and so needs a slap and the big character is left dying....the bully gets a dose of Karma! so it doesn't end on a low, i think there may be a second book as there are a few things left a little open but we aren't left on any cliff hangers which is good.

Rebecca Berto - Precise

I struggled to get into this book, not because it was a bad read but i felt like screaming the whole way through it.

The story go into detail about a women who could be perfectly happy if it wasn't for her mother blaming her daily for the miscarriages she has after her, as though it's one babies fault she couldn't go full term with others....I got really angry when i read the things this women was saying to her daughter, the abuse she'd put her through.

The best friend doesn't realize how bad the mother is, the husband doesn't say anything for his wifes sake and the father is in it for a quiet life so all in all she's learnt to put up with her mothers abusive streak, the husband has seen the mother become violent and steps in but it's not as often as the pure hatred that comes from this womens mouth, i hate this women and that's a very strong women, the author gets a good reaction and i'm sure this is what she was going for, that we as readers feel something for the characters.

It's a novella so i won't go into so much details but after the mother tries to take everything from the MC she takes steps to preventing it and eventually see's this for what it is.

Erika Ashby - Moving Forward

I'm going to review the first half of this book to begin with -
I loved the story line, got caught up and read for an age. I couldn't put it down and wanted to know more, every detail. I skipped doing any choirs, barely ate all to get as much read as i could, we were taking into the lives of one couple only to have them ripped apart and her left alone with a child, immediately your heart broken for the main characters and then this wonderful man comes along who can fix it all and everything seems against them.

Now the second half of the book...i actually put the book down at the end of a chapter when i remembers i needed to re-hydrate at some point, when i picked it up i found myself skimming, i really don't like not reading a book word for word but along with all the repeating about her husband and the back and forth over the same information and over explaining i struggled.
We are left on the edge with what happens to her best friend and i made me 'need' to find the next book however you can read this as a stand alone if your happy to ignore the best friend.
Overal it was a brilliant storyline however i needed less repeating and less perfect, lovey dovey stuff, love and caring is great but the over the top praising and comments about how perfect each other were was a little too much.

Cherise Sinclair - Club Shadowlands

A longer story than i thought it was when i began reading it but i think any shorter and we wouldn't of got everything we needed from the story, i really enjoyed this read, it showed that although BDSM can be a little scary, a lot exciting and very emotional it also doesn't have to involved scary men in full leathers wielding 8 foot whips and 3 foot long cocks (just for a change). It was a great story about a women who stumbled upon a lifestyle she didn't even know she was missing from her life, the varying from his pov to her's was great, i love hearing what the other person thinks and feels, it showed that whilst these people weren't in the middle of a love story and didn't get married by the end of the read they also were pasted the point of casual sex which was a happy medium, it went into detail about the lifestyle many books don't cover and it involved lots of players without overbearing us with too much information about them all.
I'd definitely recommend this book for anyone looking for a good read, not a quick read, the sex scene's were moreish and not too ott and i'd be sure to follow the author, it's a great intro to kink reads.

Selina Fenech - Emotionally Scarred

I picked up this book not knowing what to expect, the cover and title drew me in and i didn't bother to read the excerpt. I was sucked into it head first when i realized where the story was headed, it involved a bully of a boy, a head strong girl, a new school, new friends and death, all in all it was short but clever. It showed what can happen when you mess with the wrong people and how right things can go when you meet the right people.

Since it is a short i can't give the whole story line away or there'd be no point in reading it but let's just say not everything is as it seems with this young girl.

Magda Alexander - Storm Damages

I loved this book from start to end!
I'm definitely a fan of this author and the characters.

It starts with a young women trying to make a way for herself in life with a job, school and little money she's happy to keep away from men and get on with getting a career however when a smart, sexy man comes along she can't help but fall for him.
He's open from the start about how much he wants her, he doesn't hide his feelings but they both have broken pasts and he wants them to help each other get over the demons lurking around every corner (or in closets)
His mother 'The Duchess' has other ideas and whilst planning to marry her son off she threatens his true love with such an evil plan that she can do nothing but remove herself from his life.
It ends on a cliff hanger, he's in such a bad place he goes for a drive and has a car accident only to wake up with no memory.....i cannot wait for book 2 so i've signed up to everything available to get reminded when the due date is!!!
There is a lot more to the story than i've shared about but i don't want to tell you everything before you've read the book for yourself, i couldn't put this book down and pulled a very late night/early morning with it so give yourself time and space to enjoy it.

Lacey Alexander - French Quarter

This book was a great read, it wasn't a straight forward love story and i found myself shouting at the book a  few times that they both needed to sort their feelings out since they both felt the same but wouldn't admit it, the ex added a weird element to the story but the story line wasn't like others I've read which wasn't a bad thing, i think everything listed in the book are things that need to be experienced by every person before they settle down with 'the one', i couldn't put the book down and it's in my top reads, i'd look out for more work by the author since this was my first read from them.

It starts with the MC looking to find out if her fiance is cheating on her, it ends with her being so crazy about a man she'd have sex with two men to see his fantasy through. The rest is hot lust, craziness and sex...go read it.

Marina Anderson - House of Decadence

I just finished this book, it was the most clinical of the 6 i have by the Author, i was left disappointed but i'm not sure why. I'll try to explain without giving you the whole story.

I loved the arrangement, her being tied into a contract was great but had me asking if he did that for his sake not hers, I loved that they all had group sessions without the brother and sister coming into contact, i didn't like that we weren't given any insight as to what he was thinking, i didn't like that he was angry his mistress had left but claimed it was what he wanted, i didn't like that when everything was as the story intended there was such a problem between the attitude of the two women that surely any group playing would of been awkward and uncomfortable, everything made sense until the last sex scene between him and the two women, after that the plot seemed to fall apart and left me asking more questions that i wanted to.

It wasn't the worst of the 6 book but it wasn't my favorite either, i'd offer it as a go between read or for travels but not for something to really sink your teeth into.

Marina Anderson - Forbidden Desires

Well this book was certainly better than the first one (Dark Secret)
I wasn't quite on edge with this book because we'd covered some pretty out there scenes with the first book however again i found myself irritated with the constant distance between the American's and British during certain conversations.

I enjoyed the fact that in book one i began to slowly hate the main male character and in book two he got everything he deserved, at least we got to see some real emotion and some explanation as to his actions.

I found myself enjoying the contract between the two alpha males and was surprised to find the second male much more dominant and aggressive in his sexual behavior which tends to be the persona given to the 'top dog' in a story.

In basic terms this book was what it set out to be, a tale of sex, scandal and eventual divorce (i'm not saying who with though) it got the pulse racing and that's what the author set out to do.

Marina Anderson - Dark Secret

I'm feeling slightly frustrated with this book, i loved the outrageous story line and over the top sex scenes and hating the little details being pushed aside.

I loved that we got a point of view from all of the characters even if just in the main scenes but hated that anything other than sex was in very short supply.

I didn't pick this book up looking for a love story and a happy ending but i felt we were given a glimmer of something more just for one of the last scenes to ruin the whole book.

From the beginning i was on edge because the fact one character was British, three american normally leads to the over explanation of how polite, prudish, simple, nesh ect ect 'us' British are, British authors trying to write from an american POV normally lead to a misconception of american's to think the above, just as the British don't all think that all Americans say 'ye haw', 'ya'll' and drink java whilst driving Cadillac, anyway, it was a little hard in places but we got through it eventually.

We are taken to a house that half way through contains Americans and a Brit (in case we'd forgotten), incest, infidelity and orgies, i won't spoil it by giving away all the details because every page was a new orgasm so it's worth a read, this was an erotic novel in it's purest form, pure filth on paper in some places....back to the irritating bit, we knew it, she knew it, damn even his wife knew it but he wouldn't admit he had feelings....let me tell you now, fiction or not i'd of removed his testicles if i found out what the English girl found out :) and any man that took his work so serious needs to learn a thing or two about priorities, i don't like the MC very much, he's an ass but i'll read book two in the hope he's left behind somewhere dark whilst we get our kicks elsewhere :)

Marina Anderson - Legacy of Desire

Maybe i missed the point of this book but i find it to be an erotic novel trying to be a romance novel and failing.

Here's what i loved: The sex, the bitchiness, the kinky foreplay, the sex, the domineering american and the sex. It was great with all the sex scenes and that he was trying to care in his own way.

What i didn't love: They met whilst both with other people, cheated on these people, had slept together 3 times and then got married, he was cold, arrogant, presumptuous and rude, she would of naturally fled as quickly as possible instead she allowed herself to be used repeatedly and it made her feel crap yet she went back for more.

The book appeared to be a kink fest to begin with however right at the end when his friends interfere it's so unlike what would happen, the conversation and situation seemed awkward and unrealistic, the fact he'd be willing to allow the ex's to set up home in his property or that Pattie would be happy with Phil didn't seem true, it just felt overall like the beginning and middle of this book were brilliant but the ending wasn't thought through very well.

This short gave you exactly what it said it would, a haunted house, gools and lots of pleasure along the way, it was long enough to enjoy getting into it, short enough that i wasn't left figuring unimportant details out and all in all delivered just what you want from this type of book.

This was my first read from Daiza but i'll be sure to follow for more, anyone looking for a quick fix should definitely grab this read.

Claudy Conn - Shee-Willow Legend

This is the second book i've read from this author, whilst i still struggled just  a tad with all the terms i found it refreshing to read, the plots and twists really had me thinking and restored my faith in ready this type of book, it was a longer read than i thought it would be but it needed to be to ensure we got the full picture, The story involved a confused young women who didn't really fit anywhere which rings true with alot of people at some point in their lives, eventually she finds what she's looking for in a man however things don't go to plan and she has to work hard.
I'll look into reading more of this type of book and be sure to follow the author.

Kate Cramer - What Money Can Buy

I needed more from this book and not in a good way,i find a lot of books lacking in some way but this book was basically Millionaire stalks woman, buys woman off, uses woman without showing his true intentions, falls for woman, marries woman...the end.

I know there are a part 2 and 3 to this read but i imagine it'll be much the same and i don't think i'll be purchasing them. I had hoped for something a little different and expected something more than the stereotype erotic novellas being pushed around the internet at the minute.

Claudy Conn - Prince in the Mist

This book is both adult and supernatural, make sure it's your thing before getting into this book as it's one of about 10.

The story begins when a Fae Prince go against his queens rules and mixes with humans, he falls in love with one and must protect her and her son from her husband along with their neighboring cousin who's father was killed and she is in hiding.

This was one of my first SN books and i quickly bought more however i'm well aware not everyone likes them and there is a fine line between getting it right and getting it very wrong, i felt Claudy got it right and have followed more works because of it.

D. W. Cee - Indelible Love - Emily's story

I love, love, love D. W. Cee, everything I've read has been brilliant, I loved Indelible Love and i suggest reading this before reading Jake's version, i preferred Jake's version but simply because i found more emotion in the book, i don't think i'd of understood everything if i hadn't read Emily's version first though.

It's a book about two people that are meant for each other....that end up hitting every bump in the road through out their relationship and how they come out the other side of it, eventually, i loved that there was also a spin off set of books based around Jake's sister and Emily's ex, it's a great read and i'd suggest following D. W. Cee as she's very active online and often offers freebies and blog posts.

Crystal Cattabriga - Torn Souls

This book is a Young adult book, there's no sex or relationships involved, well not in any depth.
It does however go into detail the troubles bullied teens face every day in schools and was a great read.

The book really got under my skin as it's a problem close to my heart and to read the ways this girl was both abused and was supported was very comforting, it's often a taboo subject among not only teens but also adults and even parents but i think this book really showed what can be done with some real hard work and it was great to see bullies get there comeuppance .

I'd suggest this book to any teens and young adults and even some of the adult readers i know that aren't into erotica, it's a great read and i'd read more from this author.

Bite - an Xcite Books collection of five erotic stories (Dead Sexy)

This is a collection of 5 supernatural short stories, each as kinky as the next.

Bite - Debra Castellano

A fun, hot short story about a married couple, it's nice to read something that doesn't involve a twisted ex or psycho mother, the story explains the heated passion that's put on display with a Vampire wife takes her Human husband, i'll definitely look into move of Debra's work.

Remembering Adelaide - Olivia London

This was a different read for me, everything started great, carried on great, then the ending had me questioning the whole story, in a good way, it involved two young guys that meet a women ...who.....isn't really a women, not in the sense she's a man, well read it and you'll see :)

I Am The Moon - Tabitha Rayne

This story wasn't one of my top reads, that's not to say it won't be yours it's just not a fantasy of mine being a 'light' meat eater to be ravished by/near or on stuffed animals by...an animal, it was fast, strong and kinky, i'll be sure to check out her other works as she's clearly good at the most adventurous kinks.

Innocent Demon - Lynn Lang

What a great story, normally when they involve spirits and god i'm always a little put off as the meaning can often be a little too deep for this kind of read however this was light and almost playful in areas, it went into depths the feeling and thoughts involved as well as going over the line just a little in a good way,i enjoyed the book and would look into more reads by this author.

Unfinished Business - Lucy Felthouse

Damn!! that story got me, I actually cried at the last line on that story so watch out for it!!
It's a supernatural story about a girl who died and seeks out her on/off lover, they end up together again in a lust filled romp and eventually she slips away, happy and content.

I loved this set of stories and it was a great way to get over a heavy, long read before starting another.
