Onto 2014

So it’s 31.12.13 – it’s been a busy but awesome year, the best yet i think and i reached my goal of 50 books from August, actually i smashed it and got to 82, my goodreads only shows 70+ as some of the books i read we’re re-named, re-edited or simply removed from the public after a certain time. i’m aiming for 200+ next year :) here’s to book number 1 of 2014 x

Ancelli - My Best Friend

I found this book very predictable, you could tell when something was about to happen, i found the mention of skin colour very strong in this story, i've never really put much thought into what colour the characters in a story were so this made me feel a little uncomfortable, also the endearment 'doll eyes' just felt unnatural, the story was nice, the sex was nice, the ending was nice but that's about all this book was, we could see what was going to happen and when which made me simply browse the pages rather than feel really drawn into the pages.
i'd recommend this book to someone with an hour or two to kill but i wasn't overly blown away.

Heloise Belleau and Solace Ames - The Dom Project

I finished this book last night and it's played on my mind for quite a while today, the writing was really good although i felt the John's parts were a little short at times, i loved the rawness of it, it wasn't a standard love story there were some darker bits and it wasn't always roses in the good bits either, it was real, how i imagine things to actually happen in the real world, minus the gay scenes and weird brother, it wasn't so far fetched (them being millionaires or owning some large country house) that you couldn't believe it but it also wasn't so grim you may as well of looked out of the window at real life, it was a happy medium, the writer didn't write them to be perfect, or know everything but to be on a learning curve which a lot of people can relate to.
I'd be happy to look at more of the authors work and would recommend this book to others.

Jane Lark - I Found You

I was given this book via netgalley for an honest review
I don't know how to feel about this book, i liked it and loathed it at the same time, 85% of the time it was so interesting, so versatile, so exhilarating and the rest of the time there was so much going on that i had to re-read the chapter just to soak all the drama in. It kept me up all night and i had to finish it in one go to satisfy my need which means the book had a lot of advantages over other 'samey' reads, also the main story lines were so different from usual romance/adult reads it was refreshing to read and i'd be sure to look out for other works by this author as i enjoyed the style of writing.

L. Marie Adeline - S.E.C.R.E.T

So this time i was a little taken back by a book, I wasn't sure where this story was really going to be honest.
The back story involved her ex trying to make amends and then killing himself, she didn't care.
The owner of the cafe wanted her, she didn't care.
The delivery guy, the rich guy ect ect she didn't care so i was a little put off by her character, then at the end everything back fired and she chose her second choice instead.
The story was there and then towards the end it wasn't, i wanted to read book two however the write up for it kind of gave away what 75% of the book will be about so i'm not sure i'll bother.

I'd look at other work by this author but i'm not sure i'd recommend this book.

Jodi Ellen Malpas - This Man

I...erm...well...i'm a little stumped.
I had heard via forums, blogs ect that this book was a little like 50sog so i was set up for the 'me cave man, you little lady' story line, however that wasn't so much what i got. They meet normally, everything is hot and raunchy and did i say hot? then things get a little possessive, i've heard of liking someone but the things this guy does he could be arrested for stalking on several occasions and to be honest it just gets a little creepy, towards the end we get a better feel for why he's off kilter but it doesn't explain why after she's said no, no and no he's still pushing, then he throws a mad, crazy hissy fit, i mean WTF he's a grown man, banging down doors and punching peoples faces isn't something a 30+ year old man should be doing when trying to woo a women, so anyone, the story is basically them making up, falling out, making up, falling out and then breaking up.
I enjoyed the book for what it was worth and the ending was a little crazy which made me want to read book 2 however until i know his next move after being a completely and utter royal ass i'm not sure if i'd recommend it.

Charlotte Stein - Control

I read this book in the the hope it wouldn't be the same cliche story line as so many other books of late. I wasn't disappointed, the book presented me with a fun and flirty opening, a steamy and hot middle and a pleasant ending.
I did feel the book could of read a little better. It wasn't as clear in some parts and there was Times I lost the main point of the story.
Andy was often overbearing and Gabriel Weak, not submissive and well behaved but weak, maddie was the least believable when the story first began, firstly she allowed a man she didn't know make sexual advances towards her during a job interview, then she made advances on man she only assumed was interested in her and we fail to learn how as he gets him back for a second interview/trial.
We don't learn where either parties parents are yet hear about them through out the story.
I loved that this wasn't a usual dominant man takes submissive women scenario but I was disappointed in the way the characters where portrayed we seemed to miss a lot of important thing out that would of completed the story for me.

Krista & Becca Ritchie - Addicted To You

This book covered alcohol abuse and self sexual abuse on a level i've never know in a book, it was refreshing to read something that concentrated on the fact two people that on paper are so right for each other could in fact be very, very wrong for each other.
I've marked this book 4 stars because i felt whilst the main subject in this book was sex the intimacy and general details lacked during scenes of the MC's together which wasn't want i needed from these scene after being given the loaded details of the 'accidental' intimacy through out the start of the book.

Sorcha Grace - A Taste of You

Cat is a closed off, emotional, wild bundle of nerves since losing her husband so suddenly, William is an arrogant, charming, hot as hell millionaire with commitment issues.
Both of them are deep in lust within a few meetings and things go from bad to worse when neither of them are willing to commit further.

I enjoyed the book and don't wish to give too much away however during a miss-communication which i don't feel is explained very well i was put off William, his lack of ability to articulate ....well anything. He barely spoke, didn't correct and didn't apologies.

Lots of hot sex, little in the way of real conversation, i look forward to seeing if book two can straighten things out.

Lilly Wright - Begin with Goodbye

Wow, so much story fitted into such a short read.
We are taken right into the heart of things with a funeral of a loved one, friction left behind with an ex and a niece that needs her right now, it's a short read that promises so much trouble and excitement.

There is a lot of emotion in the story and a lot of things we don't have answers to, i'll be keeping up with this story but would like to hear some POV from Julian or atleast some insight as to why if he's so bad she would give in to him.

J Kenner - Wanted

I just finished this book and it was a whirl wind of emotions and heated encounters all rolled into one.
Evan isn't your usual bad boy, he wants to get clean, he knows he's wrong but he has his reasons for why he's here and now doing what he does, Angie is a whole bunch of pent up frustration and needs a sure way of letting it go without too many consequences.
The story line wavers a little before the second intimate meeting between Evan and Angie and i think we're going to see some bad writing but that doesn't happen, after the awkward club scene passes (personally i'd of up and left) we get back to why we are all here, the sex.....the scene's in this book are perfect, it's not too much kink, tied up in pretty, hot, sweaty bows of lust and heat. I'd recommend this book to anyone looking for a good read with steamy scene however this book isn't all sex, there is meaning and purpose to the characters, it just take us a while to figure out what they are.

I'd of liked to hear more about 'Ivy' and just what Evan was thinking, i'd of also change the C word since it's loved but some and hated by many but all in all it was a good read.

Mina Bennett - Shelter Me

This is an interesting read to say the least, i'm neither Christian nor do i attend church except for Christmas mass with family so it really enlightened me on some of the goings on in a strict Christian family and in church. Unlike others i was more concerned with the fact the MC's husband wasn't found, it worries me to think in the fictional world he's still roaming around doing the same things to others and that's not nice, i also felt there were unanswered questions, what did Mark expect to do/say to explain the removal men if Mari had stayed with him? Surely he knew she'd tell her folks if they'd moved away and told her all the church money had gone too, why marry her and not the others? why did Jacob say they were taking it slow yet they'd already been together sexually and since it's been mentioned so many times in the book about how you can't hide anything in such a small town why did they need their parents to relay messages of them being missed at church, surely they'd be seen around town occasionally. Back to the story, it was written from two POV's, it's tricky to get the right mixture of thought and speech but the writer managed it well, the story seemed to struggle when Mari started visiting Mark for dinner and as a human with a mind, ignoring the female sensitivity and religious beliefs she should of felt marrying him after the photograph incident was wrong but somehow she managed to ignore all the signs, i was shocked to read about Lily, i expected things to progress further so all in all i feel this story is just a little unfinished, i think we could of missed out a few pages of friends/family chatting, explained the cats illness and heartbreak and moved on to finish the story properly, did she get a divorce, did they tell the police, did the Pastor ever come out of his room and re-take group sessions?

Michele Renae - Window

Can you write a book that's 95% one sided, have it involve alot of fantasy and one sided sex, find out very little about any one else and it still be sexy as hell.....Oh yes!!
I loved the out of the box style of this book, the story ran almost like reading someones memoirs, i imagined thinking along the same lines when off in train of thought moments and the mystery of Mr. across the window was awesome.
And it involved some rather unusual fetishes that most books don't bother entertaining, i'm so glad this one did.
I'm off to stalk the author and pre order, TBR and blog about book 2

Jeffe Kennedy - Five Golden Rings

A brilliant read, Roo doesn't want the heavy romance boyfriends and Christmas bring and Miguel doesn't offer it, He instead offers 12 days of naughtiness and with what he's got and what he's offering she'd be silly to decline.
It's a book full of kink play scenes, unexpected feelings and some surprises along the way.
A good read for a chilly evening in front of the fire.

Lisa Renee Jones - Being Me (Inside out trilogy book 2)

I worried book 2 wouldn’t hold as much excitement, passion or lust, i was wrong to worry, Lisa pulled it off as perfectly as before.
It begins where the last one finished, at the unit where we heard footsteps. The story takes on many twists and turns, the most shocking being Chris’s behaviour towards the end of the book and the where abouts of Rebecca, I have a book hangover from this book so recommend only starting it when you have enough time in your day to finish it, i neglected everything to finish it because it was so addictive.
I’m worried that now we have a lot of lose ends tied off there won’t be enough drama in book 3 to fill the void but I'm holding out high hopes since i was wrong about this one.

Elene Sallinger - Awakening

Awakening – I was given this book in return for a review
This is one of the best reads i’ve had for a long time, i loved the alternating between POV’s and the fact that although a very sexy book it wasn’t sex scene after sex scene but still read like a kinky read.
The Author clearly had some knowledge of BDSM and wasn’t just rambling what they had heard in passing which was refreshing, the terminology was hilarious in some parts ‘Evan stared at his bourbon as those it had stolen his wallet and wouldn’t give it back’ was a favourite of mine.
I loved the fluid style of writing, the fact the MC was both a victim and abuser and felt guilt, this wasn’t a straight forward love story and the plot kept me reading the whole thing in one sitting, i’d recommend it to anyone that likes erotica or romance since it caters for everyone.

Marina Anderson - The Dining Club

The Book as a whole was a great read, it lost me around midway for a while until i realized the layout of the characters and that it wasn't going to change, disliking a main characters isn't normally the way a book makes me feel but this one did a pretty good job at it.
In the beginning your routing for things to end well for Grace and David, by the end of it i was questioning if she needed her head testing and he needed checking for a pulse, it is a purely dysfunctional relationship and minus the visits to the club i'd question it's purpose, it's not put me off Marina's work but due to the final chapter i wouldn't recommend the book to anyone not looking for oversexed and highly charged scenes because although it ends in what you'd assume is the right way in actual fact it left me feeling rubbed up the wrong way and i'd of preferred it ended differently.

Marina Anderson - Sumbit (The Dining Club - Part Seven)

This Part of the story was brilliant, it drew away from the relationship and was so focused on the 'tasks' i loved it.
I still dislike David and prefer Andrew, i also wish Amber would just up and leave in the night but i think that's the point.
The story seems to lose a bit of something when lots of people are involved and mentioned in a short read but i'm hoping it regains it'self in the last book.

Portia Da Costa - Tempted by Two

*I was given this book in exchange for an honest review*
Another great book by this author, the writing seemed to struggle at times, there were a few times when it seemed to be lacking any real conversation but other times seemed to fit perfectly, i've read the authors work before and enjoyed this book just as much if not more than the others, it's a short read but a good one.
The book is based on 3 main characters who embark on a week+ of fantasy fulfilling, long walks and idle chatter, they grow as friends and lovers but eventually the time comes when they must all go back to the real world, no one wants that and after debating and discussing the couple decide to win their lovely female friend back.
I felt Owen was sometimes quite distant and cold so i didn't really connect with him until right at the end were he was all kisses and touching and quite loving.

Marina Anderson - Touch (The Dining Club - Book 5)

This book was much better than the last two, i felt the story was beginning to drift off and lose it's point however it just picked it's self up and got good :)
We hear about the real feeling felt by all of the characters except the twins, Andrew is making his move and it'll be interesting to see what happens in the next book, David seems to be coming undone but there are a few books left to go so i feel we won't learn much more until towards the end, i still feel the need to scream and kick at Amber but i think that's the point. I don't have much more to add since i simply want to get back to reading the next book and tie off lose ends.

Marina Anderson - Desire (The Dining Club - Part 1)

Another fantastic write by Marina Anderson, The book begins with an ordinary relationship that we soon learn needs to change in order to become something much more, we don't get given too much detail and it definitely kept me wanting more, I love this authors style of writing and will continue to follow.

Marina Anderson - Seduce (The Dining Club Book 4)

This book was so far the worst, it's the end of one meeting and the start of another which leaves me in limbo when i can't start the next book straight away, David is becoming cruel, Amber is sadistic and poor grace is left feeling a little over her head, with out this book the story wouldn't work however i'd of preferred a little more story line or more pages, the stories seem shorter in material and encounters becoming more breif.

Marina Anderson - Crave (The Dining Club Book 3)

My thoughts were confirmed, David is an ass, i feel for Grace so much.
I really wanted this story to show how much David did really care for her however shielding them from the press, pushing her above her levels on only her second bdsm related events, no safeword mentioned and having some stranger penetrate her without discussing it first just makes me want to slap him and drag her out of there to show her not every one into kink it that cruel.
I'll keep reading and see if my opinion changes, the book is brilliant in the sense it keeps me wanting to read more, it's just this main character i don't like.

Marina Anderson - Bound (The Dining Club - Book 2)

(I was given this book in return for an honest review)
I loved it as much as book 1 except for the empty, coldness that radiated off David, as a novice to Kink surely some care should be taken when setting boundaries, to not discuss 'other people' being involved is a blurry line that shouldn't be crossed so it put me on the back foot, also it's cruel but i'm voting for Andrew to get closer to Grace.
The story didn't hold any major points so i look forward to continuing the story with these characters and finding out more about The Dining Room.

E. L. Todd - Only For You

I received this as an ARC in return for an honest review Smile

I fell in love with Scarlet within a few pages, she was sassy, feisty and had a good head on her shoulders, she’s the kind of friend everyone needs and some of the things she said had me in stitches.

I felt for Sean, i think we’ve all had a bad spell with love at some point and it’s not nice however i found myself wishing he got a taste of his own medicine when he used his best friend.

I wanted things to work with Cortland and Scarlet, i really wanted her to be over Sean until he booked up his idea’s and sorted himself out, i was then glad Cortland had found someone new.

Overall the book was brilliant, i felt all emotions when reading it and after putting it down couldn’t stop thinking about it, there were some loose ends that need wrapping up which i assume with happen in book 2 but i wanted to know the mother had died a cruel and horrible death!

My only criticism would be there was a little over use with the word brat, it sounds like a very harsh word (i don’t hear it used often in the UK), like you would say to hurt someone's feelings and i don’t think scarlet in all her playfulness was being brattish.

All in all I'll be reading book 2 when it’s released and i recommend this book to anyone that loved a romance novel with some pretty gritty sex scenes in it.

Erika Ashby - No Going Back

After reading book 1 i couldn't let go of the shock ending and went ahead and bought book 2, i don't regret it at all.

The story starts off where the last one ended, with some 2 bit hussy making an entrance with a motive, we could all see it a mile off but Seth didn't. when that goes tits up you'd think things would settle back down but oh no! So after drama, another nearly wedding and a death things get back on the right tracks but for me that's where things started to go wrong with this read, i loved Seth, he was the playboy, bad ass, male slut of the band and he was hot. He was transformed into this sweet talking, sloppy ass that made crude jokes, over the top speeches about his undying love and wouldn't shut up about how perfect his girlfriend was, it was lovely at first to think someone as messed up could fix him but then it just got to much and i wanted to slap him.

There is a third part, a novella from the first MC's husband but i won't be buying it, i'd be sure to follow the author and i'm sure the novella is interesting however the character didn't captivate me and i'm not interested in his version of events.

Rucy Ban - All my life

Firstly having a name like Rucy makes this author awesome but the book wasn't too bad either :)

The story is about a girl who has the worst entry into 'adulthood' after a boy who makes her feel special, gives her the attention she needs and then when he takes the one things from her no one can replace, he films it and black mails her until she's left scared, broke and withdrawn.
The boy in this story is sick and twisted and a horrible bully, when she finally meets someone who wants to trust as much as she does she can't seem to let go of her fears, he father the worthless so and so needs a slap and the big character is left dying....the bully gets a dose of Karma! so it doesn't end on a low, i think there may be a second book as there are a few things left a little open but we aren't left on any cliff hangers which is good.

Rebecca Berto - Precise

I struggled to get into this book, not because it was a bad read but i felt like screaming the whole way through it.

The story go into detail about a women who could be perfectly happy if it wasn't for her mother blaming her daily for the miscarriages she has after her, as though it's one babies fault she couldn't go full term with others....I got really angry when i read the things this women was saying to her daughter, the abuse she'd put her through.

The best friend doesn't realize how bad the mother is, the husband doesn't say anything for his wifes sake and the father is in it for a quiet life so all in all she's learnt to put up with her mothers abusive streak, the husband has seen the mother become violent and steps in but it's not as often as the pure hatred that comes from this womens mouth, i hate this women and that's a very strong women, the author gets a good reaction and i'm sure this is what she was going for, that we as readers feel something for the characters.

It's a novella so i won't go into so much details but after the mother tries to take everything from the MC she takes steps to preventing it and eventually see's this for what it is.

Erika Ashby - Moving Forward

I'm going to review the first half of this book to begin with -
I loved the story line, got caught up and read for an age. I couldn't put it down and wanted to know more, every detail. I skipped doing any choirs, barely ate all to get as much read as i could, we were taking into the lives of one couple only to have them ripped apart and her left alone with a child, immediately your heart broken for the main characters and then this wonderful man comes along who can fix it all and everything seems against them.

Now the second half of the book...i actually put the book down at the end of a chapter when i remembers i needed to re-hydrate at some point, when i picked it up i found myself skimming, i really don't like not reading a book word for word but along with all the repeating about her husband and the back and forth over the same information and over explaining i struggled.
We are left on the edge with what happens to her best friend and i made me 'need' to find the next book however you can read this as a stand alone if your happy to ignore the best friend.
Overal it was a brilliant storyline however i needed less repeating and less perfect, lovey dovey stuff, love and caring is great but the over the top praising and comments about how perfect each other were was a little too much.

Cherise Sinclair - Club Shadowlands

A longer story than i thought it was when i began reading it but i think any shorter and we wouldn't of got everything we needed from the story, i really enjoyed this read, it showed that although BDSM can be a little scary, a lot exciting and very emotional it also doesn't have to involved scary men in full leathers wielding 8 foot whips and 3 foot long cocks (just for a change). It was a great story about a women who stumbled upon a lifestyle she didn't even know she was missing from her life, the varying from his pov to her's was great, i love hearing what the other person thinks and feels, it showed that whilst these people weren't in the middle of a love story and didn't get married by the end of the read they also were pasted the point of casual sex which was a happy medium, it went into detail about the lifestyle many books don't cover and it involved lots of players without overbearing us with too much information about them all.
I'd definitely recommend this book for anyone looking for a good read, not a quick read, the sex scene's were moreish and not too ott and i'd be sure to follow the author, it's a great intro to kink reads.

Selina Fenech - Emotionally Scarred

I picked up this book not knowing what to expect, the cover and title drew me in and i didn't bother to read the excerpt. I was sucked into it head first when i realized where the story was headed, it involved a bully of a boy, a head strong girl, a new school, new friends and death, all in all it was short but clever. It showed what can happen when you mess with the wrong people and how right things can go when you meet the right people.

Since it is a short i can't give the whole story line away or there'd be no point in reading it but let's just say not everything is as it seems with this young girl.

Magda Alexander - Storm Damages

I loved this book from start to end!
I'm definitely a fan of this author and the characters.

It starts with a young women trying to make a way for herself in life with a job, school and little money she's happy to keep away from men and get on with getting a career however when a smart, sexy man comes along she can't help but fall for him.
He's open from the start about how much he wants her, he doesn't hide his feelings but they both have broken pasts and he wants them to help each other get over the demons lurking around every corner (or in closets)
His mother 'The Duchess' has other ideas and whilst planning to marry her son off she threatens his true love with such an evil plan that she can do nothing but remove herself from his life.
It ends on a cliff hanger, he's in such a bad place he goes for a drive and has a car accident only to wake up with no memory.....i cannot wait for book 2 so i've signed up to everything available to get reminded when the due date is!!!
There is a lot more to the story than i've shared about but i don't want to tell you everything before you've read the book for yourself, i couldn't put this book down and pulled a very late night/early morning with it so give yourself time and space to enjoy it.

Lacey Alexander - French Quarter

This book was a great read, it wasn't a straight forward love story and i found myself shouting at the book a  few times that they both needed to sort their feelings out since they both felt the same but wouldn't admit it, the ex added a weird element to the story but the story line wasn't like others I've read which wasn't a bad thing, i think everything listed in the book are things that need to be experienced by every person before they settle down with 'the one', i couldn't put the book down and it's in my top reads, i'd look out for more work by the author since this was my first read from them.

It starts with the MC looking to find out if her fiance is cheating on her, it ends with her being so crazy about a man she'd have sex with two men to see his fantasy through. The rest is hot lust, craziness and sex...go read it.

Marina Anderson - House of Decadence

I just finished this book, it was the most clinical of the 6 i have by the Author, i was left disappointed but i'm not sure why. I'll try to explain without giving you the whole story.

I loved the arrangement, her being tied into a contract was great but had me asking if he did that for his sake not hers, I loved that they all had group sessions without the brother and sister coming into contact, i didn't like that we weren't given any insight as to what he was thinking, i didn't like that he was angry his mistress had left but claimed it was what he wanted, i didn't like that when everything was as the story intended there was such a problem between the attitude of the two women that surely any group playing would of been awkward and uncomfortable, everything made sense until the last sex scene between him and the two women, after that the plot seemed to fall apart and left me asking more questions that i wanted to.

It wasn't the worst of the 6 book but it wasn't my favorite either, i'd offer it as a go between read or for travels but not for something to really sink your teeth into.

Marina Anderson - Forbidden Desires

Well this book was certainly better than the first one (Dark Secret)
I wasn't quite on edge with this book because we'd covered some pretty out there scenes with the first book however again i found myself irritated with the constant distance between the American's and British during certain conversations.

I enjoyed the fact that in book one i began to slowly hate the main male character and in book two he got everything he deserved, at least we got to see some real emotion and some explanation as to his actions.

I found myself enjoying the contract between the two alpha males and was surprised to find the second male much more dominant and aggressive in his sexual behavior which tends to be the persona given to the 'top dog' in a story.

In basic terms this book was what it set out to be, a tale of sex, scandal and eventual divorce (i'm not saying who with though) it got the pulse racing and that's what the author set out to do.

Marina Anderson - Dark Secret

I'm feeling slightly frustrated with this book, i loved the outrageous story line and over the top sex scenes and hating the little details being pushed aside.

I loved that we got a point of view from all of the characters even if just in the main scenes but hated that anything other than sex was in very short supply.

I didn't pick this book up looking for a love story and a happy ending but i felt we were given a glimmer of something more just for one of the last scenes to ruin the whole book.

From the beginning i was on edge because the fact one character was British, three american normally leads to the over explanation of how polite, prudish, simple, nesh ect ect 'us' British are, British authors trying to write from an american POV normally lead to a misconception of american's to think the above, just as the British don't all think that all Americans say 'ye haw', 'ya'll' and drink java whilst driving Cadillac, anyway, it was a little hard in places but we got through it eventually.

We are taken to a house that half way through contains Americans and a Brit (in case we'd forgotten), incest, infidelity and orgies, i won't spoil it by giving away all the details because every page was a new orgasm so it's worth a read, this was an erotic novel in it's purest form, pure filth on paper in some places....back to the irritating bit, we knew it, she knew it, damn even his wife knew it but he wouldn't admit he had feelings....let me tell you now, fiction or not i'd of removed his testicles if i found out what the English girl found out :) and any man that took his work so serious needs to learn a thing or two about priorities, i don't like the MC very much, he's an ass but i'll read book two in the hope he's left behind somewhere dark whilst we get our kicks elsewhere :)

Marina Anderson - Legacy of Desire

Maybe i missed the point of this book but i find it to be an erotic novel trying to be a romance novel and failing.

Here's what i loved: The sex, the bitchiness, the kinky foreplay, the sex, the domineering american and the sex. It was great with all the sex scenes and that he was trying to care in his own way.

What i didn't love: They met whilst both with other people, cheated on these people, had slept together 3 times and then got married, he was cold, arrogant, presumptuous and rude, she would of naturally fled as quickly as possible instead she allowed herself to be used repeatedly and it made her feel crap yet she went back for more.

The book appeared to be a kink fest to begin with however right at the end when his friends interfere it's so unlike what would happen, the conversation and situation seemed awkward and unrealistic, the fact he'd be willing to allow the ex's to set up home in his property or that Pattie would be happy with Phil didn't seem true, it just felt overall like the beginning and middle of this book were brilliant but the ending wasn't thought through very well.

Daiza Daniels - Haunted House of Pleasure

This short gave you exactly what it said it would, a haunted house, gools and lots of pleasure along the way, it was long enough to enjoy getting into it, short enough that i wasn't left figuring unimportant details out and all in all delivered just what you want from this type of book.

This was my first read from Daiza but i'll be sure to follow for more, anyone looking for a quick fix should definitely grab this read.

Claudy Conn - Shee-Willow Legend

This is the second book i've read from this author, whilst i still struggled just  a tad with all the terms i found it refreshing to read, the plots and twists really had me thinking and restored my faith in ready this type of book, it was a longer read than i thought it would be but it needed to be to ensure we got the full picture, The story involved a confused young women who didn't really fit anywhere which rings true with alot of people at some point in their lives, eventually she finds what she's looking for in a man however things don't go to plan and she has to work hard.
I'll look into reading more of this type of book and be sure to follow the author.

Kate Cramer - What Money Can Buy

I needed more from this book and not in a good way,i find a lot of books lacking in some way but this book was basically Millionaire stalks woman, buys woman off, uses woman without showing his true intentions, falls for woman, marries woman...the end.

I know there are a part 2 and 3 to this read but i imagine it'll be much the same and i don't think i'll be purchasing them. I had hoped for something a little different and expected something more than the stereotype erotic novellas being pushed around the internet at the minute.

Claudy Conn - Prince in the Mist

This book is both adult and supernatural, make sure it's your thing before getting into this book as it's one of about 10.

The story begins when a Fae Prince go against his queens rules and mixes with humans, he falls in love with one and must protect her and her son from her husband along with their neighboring cousin who's father was killed and she is in hiding.

This was one of my first SN books and i quickly bought more however i'm well aware not everyone likes them and there is a fine line between getting it right and getting it very wrong, i felt Claudy got it right and have followed more works because of it.

D. W. Cee - Indelible Love - Emily's story

I love, love, love D. W. Cee, everything I've read has been brilliant, I loved Indelible Love and i suggest reading this before reading Jake's version, i preferred Jake's version but simply because i found more emotion in the book, i don't think i'd of understood everything if i hadn't read Emily's version first though.

It's a book about two people that are meant for each other....that end up hitting every bump in the road through out their relationship and how they come out the other side of it, eventually, i loved that there was also a spin off set of books based around Jake's sister and Emily's ex, it's a great read and i'd suggest following D. W. Cee as she's very active online and often offers freebies and blog posts.

Crystal Cattabriga - Torn Souls

This book is a Young adult book, there's no sex or relationships involved, well not in any depth.
It does however go into detail the troubles bullied teens face every day in schools and was a great read.

The book really got under my skin as it's a problem close to my heart and to read the ways this girl was both abused and was supported was very comforting, it's often a taboo subject among not only teens but also adults and even parents but i think this book really showed what can be done with some real hard work and it was great to see bullies get there comeuppance .

I'd suggest this book to any teens and young adults and even some of the adult readers i know that aren't into erotica, it's a great read and i'd read more from this author.

Bite - an Xcite Books collection of five erotic stories (Dead Sexy)

This is a collection of 5 supernatural short stories, each as kinky as the next.

Bite - Debra Castellano

A fun, hot short story about a married couple, it's nice to read something that doesn't involve a twisted ex or psycho mother, the story explains the heated passion that's put on display with a Vampire wife takes her Human husband, i'll definitely look into move of Debra's work.

Remembering Adelaide - Olivia London

This was a different read for me, everything started great, carried on great, then the ending had me questioning the whole story, in a good way, it involved two young guys that meet a women ...who.....isn't really a women, not in the sense she's a man, well read it and you'll see :)

I Am The Moon - Tabitha Rayne

This story wasn't one of my top reads, that's not to say it won't be yours it's just not a fantasy of mine being a 'light' meat eater to be ravished by/near or on stuffed animals by...an animal, it was fast, strong and kinky, i'll be sure to check out her other works as she's clearly good at the most adventurous kinks.

Innocent Demon - Lynn Lang

What a great story, normally when they involve spirits and god i'm always a little put off as the meaning can often be a little too deep for this kind of read however this was light and almost playful in areas, it went into depths the feeling and thoughts involved as well as going over the line just a little in a good way,i enjoyed the book and would look into more reads by this author.

Unfinished Business - Lucy Felthouse

Damn!! that story got me, I actually cried at the last line on that story so watch out for it!!
It's a supernatural story about a girl who died and seeks out her on/off lover, they end up together again in a lust filled romp and eventually she slips away, happy and content.

I loved this set of stories and it was a great way to get over a heavy, long read before starting another.

Lynetta Halat - Everything I've Never Had

This book was a great read, i've been having some tough times at home of late and you know the books good when every time you pick it up you forget your problems and leave the real world behind.

The story begins with an all consuming lust, fueled over time by two people that can't see what's good for them until it's too late to stop, the book keeps you on your toes and your heart in your throat all along.

There was only one, very minor downside to this book and that was the over use of 'ya'll, That may be because i'm unaccustomed to US terms but it's minor so we'll over look it.

All in all this way a great read and anyone looking for a true love story from start to end need to read this!

Isabella Ashe - Under Her Spell

Under Her Spell

What a great story, it wasn't the usual love story you'd expect and it was enjoyable the whole way through, it was a great midlength read and i'd definitely follow the author for future reads.

The story begins with a cynical man and a easy going women who rub each other the wrong way and  do not get off to a great start, things go from bad to worse when a bet takes place, they are complete opposites but something keeps bringing them back together.  I was nice to hear about his point of view occasionally and i recommend anyone looking to get into a good read this is one to look up.

Delilah Fawkes - At His Side (The Billionaire's Beck and Call Part 9)

The last in a 9 part series of short reads, it was jam packed with action, criminals, police, phone calls and of course sex along with some other stuff :) it was better than i expected and didn't end in the 'they had a triplets and become homely and wonderful) i had thought we'd hear if she had been excepted by the mother eventually but we don't, ah well, it's was a good read and easy to get into if your wanting a break from the usual long story.

Delilah Fawkes - At His Warning (The Billionaire's Beck and Call Part 8)

So i think there are 9 parts in total to this story, Delilah definitely redeemed herself with the last 2 reads which had a proper story line to them, something to get the mind going rather than just the sex scenes, i'd read more of Delilah's work but i'd prefer full length stories since these shorter one's were both slow to start and costly.

Delilah Fawkes - At His Desire (The Billionaire's Beck and Call Part 7)

The stuff really hit the fan in this book, not only is she in a place she'd rather not be,with  people she'd rather not be in she now has a lech trying to spoil everything she's working for, i have a feeling things run alot deeper with Lex than we are so far led to believe, i'm looking forward to reading more.

Delilah Fawkes - At His Word (The Billionaire's Beck and Call Part 6)

Book 6 was exciting, if left us on edge as was she about what Lex could of meant and of course we'll read on to find out, We learn his Mother appears to be a high end ass and that Veronica is as pleasant as a verruca that appeared the night before a big day in strappy heels.

Delilah Fawkes - At His Insistence (The Billionaire's Beck and Call)

Book 4 wasn't in my opinion that great, we see a highly regarded CEO cancel a party mid way just because he wants to sleep with his 'Little Temp' who'd still been there when the party naturally ended...i highly doubt that, there's fiction and then plain unbelievable, other than yet another sex scene i didn't really feel there was any point to this book....we'll see what book 5 brings.

Story: 3

Delilah Fawkes - At His Command (The Millionaire's Beck and Call Part 3)

Woh!! Part three was and wasn't what i expected

Part 1 Young temp meets hot CEO who spanks her in his office then say's he'll never do it again
Part 2 she falls asleep in the office, then in his car, then his guest room
Part 3 They have hot, kinky sex alot, then she passes out, wakes up, he asks to collar her and she freezes....now we all need to go and buy part 4 just to ensure she says yes and seeks help for sleep apnea :)
I saw the sex happening a mile off, i didn't see the none answer coming at all.
Not much happened in this book but we couldn't of known without reading so we'll storm on....

Story: 4
Characters:5

Delilah Fawkes - At His Mercy (The Billionaire's Beck and Call Part 2)

Part 1 involved a new temp being spanked over his desk
So Part 2 brings us to his deep dark secret ....he has a dungeon! :o shock !! horror! he's had his way with her in his study after she finds him sniffing her shirt, a little creepy i think you'll admit but there may be a few reasons explained in the coming reads :)

Delilah Fawkes - At His Service (The Billionaire's Beck and Call Part 1)

At His Service (The Billionaire's Beck and Call Part 1)

I bought these books a fair few months ago and just remembered i hadn't reviewed them yet, There are 5 in total, all as hot a raunchy as the last if i remember.
This one involved a CEO dropping his assistant from her job and hiring the stand in assistant, within 2 days he's bewitched her, spanked her and used his fingers on her...it's all very un-poetic and what we like to call 'sexual harassment' in the real world, thankfully the lady in question didn't mind it, it ends with him stating he'll never spank her again and her trying to think of a way to get him to.

It's short and cheerful so i'd suggest looking it up :)

Jessa Callaver - The Goat and the Heathen

The Goat and the Heathen

The title wasn't an overly attractive one and may of put a few readers off until you read the story and understand it.
It was a great short story and one i'd read again if i was looking for a quick hot fix, it begins with two girls inviting a man round for a hot get together and ends in two of them become more than a lusty hook up, since it's short i can' ellaborate much more than that but it's a good read and i'd follow the Author for more.

April Liala - Another Day At The Office

I picked up a copy of this short story to pass some time on a recent trip, I was looking forward to some light reading unfortunately from start to finish this book was quite hard work, along with the often use of past and present terms in the same sentences there was alot of reverting back to speaking to themselves via speech bubbles which had me constantly checking i haven't missed another person in the room.

The story begins mid way through a work party, towards the middle of the story we are taking back to when she got the letter saying she'd got the job she was currently in, sadly towards the end things hadn't got much better when we are thrown back to the party given around 6 pages of the same text we started the book with.

I wouldn't right this author off since i purchased the book some months ago but i'd be sure to check reviews before another purchase

Veronica Angel - The Masters Exception

This book was hot, quick and sexy, it had most of the things a good short erotic read should have, i just felt that in order for there to be a part 2 part 1 needed to explain it's self a little more, we learnt alot about her past and then they had sex...i'd of prefer there to be no past and lots of sex or at least a little bit about him somewhere.

I'd look out for part 2 to see if things progress

Hilary Boyd - Thursdays in the Park

What a cute book! I loved this book from start to finish, it was so sweet and heart wrenching at times, it was nice to read a story from start to finish that wasn't perfect or even tried to be, it showed the true problems life throws at us and how we all deal differently with it, it starts with a married couple, together for an age and so far into a routine when something happens that sparks a new feeling one of them can't resist it, eventually true feelings take over pride and everything as they once knew changes quickly and uneasily.
The feeling of love and lose had me feeling sea sick but i'd recommend this book to anyone looking for an interesting read with lots of on and off romance.

Amy Aday - The Deal

The Deal
What happened next?? I read this story but feel like i skipped a few pages, it's almost like reading the beginning and middle of a book then finding the end's been ripped out and there's no other copies in the shop, he was cold towards her with his straight talking, she warmed to him quickly, i imagine either she fell for him and then turned away from him because he didn't want her like that or he warmed to her much more than he thought he would and now they have  a 'white picket fence' lifestyle....either way can we please have a part two.

Lisa Renee Jones - If I Were You

Two notes before i start my review on this book, firstly if you do not have the fund to purchase at least the first two books closely together then i suggest waiting until you can, secondly if you do not like cliff hangers and actually like sleep then i suggest waiting until you can spare the time to get these books read.

Now i'm struggling to find another book as strong as this, i just simply didn't want to put it down, i was so wrapped up in it i actually forgot about most of my day and just sat reading, now I've checked my books and I've not read anything by Lisa Renee before but her books and worldwide top sellers so i'm confused as to how I've missed her.

The book was one with masses of twists and turns, when you think you know someone and then things are switched over and they become someone else, you fear for lives without expecting it to become a murder mystery, you want to wish the characters together, bash there heads and tell them to sort themselves out but also knowing it could be bad if they don't pull away now, book 1 leaves so many possibilities i'm actually worried about picking up book 2 in case i abandon normal life for another day.

I'll be recommending this book to everyone i know that loves a good read and i'll defiantly put this on my 're-read' list :)

Jo Briggs - With My Body

This book has more ups and downs than a herd of camels, i fell in love with this book over and over as the story took many twists and turns and then felt greatful there was an end so i could sleep :)
Elle is a beautiful model type, Will was a beautiful, mogul type, they fitted together perfectly and things went so well for them both until a sad turn of events changed the whole relationship and things broke down, when things could be corrected there were too many hurt feelings, too much damaged pride and too much love to solve the issues until they are force together and things slowly unravel until they are together once more, i laughed and cried at this book it was so emotional, so overbearing at times and yet i couldn't put it down until i'd finished it, i didn't see half of the issue before they arose and it certainly kept me on my toes, the only down side was the book wasn't (in kindle form) proof read well enough to flow as smooth as i felt it could, i occasionally noticed we slipped from male to female thoughts and back again  in the same paragraph and would maybe of prefer a 3 book series book 1 up until the reconciliation, book 2 her views during and after the separation and book 3 his views, the book was quite longer than my normal reads and i feel some thing could of been delved into deeper if it had been shared over other books however i still thoroughly enjoyed the book and would read more of Jo's work.

Story 4.8 (the slipping from person A to B and back again in certainly places had be re-reading parts i didn't need to)
Characters: 4.8 (i wanted to know what Gina's problem was and why she was okay with Elle, then not, then a little bit, then became estranged although she worked for part of the business)

Debra Brooks - The Temp

This book is fantastic, i love a good power play story and this certainly ticked all the boxes, Young Amy doesn't like attention until she doesn't get it then she craves it and gets it in the very way she needs, lusty, powerful and full of womanly hunger i'd definitely read this again and recommend it to anyone looks for a good steamy read.

Making it count - Alice Bright
When i put this book down i quickly realized how turned on you can be when your reading something so short but jam packed with excitement, I loved the straight forward no nonsense about this quick read and i was left wanting to find out more about the author and her other stories, this one was hot, passionate and full girl on girl action, the fact the women varied so much make me feel comfortable enough to associate myself with one of them where as normally the descriptions only allow one type of women to feel like one of the characters .
I'll keep an eye out for more stories from this writer

Bec Botefuhr - Stolen

Stolen - Bec Botefuhr
It's not often I'm shell shocked but my god this book was powerful!
I have cried, laughed, squealed and cried some more reading this book, the story is about two lovers who seem to lose there was so many times it's almost like they are destined not to be together, this is stronger than any book I've ever read, the intensity and sheer power of the words and story lines in this book moved and shook me like no other, raped, child abuse, prison, stabbings, shot, cheating, neglect and being ignored, thrown away and disregarded by the love of your life has to have some lasting effect on you but Em seems to take it all in her stride when Blake is by her side, i'd of crumbled and given up, if you aren't afraid to shed a tear, be unable to put a book down and fall in love over and over with Blake then you need to read this book, it is definitely in my top 5 books, so much so I don't think i'll ever forget it, i'll be sure to Keep an eye on Bec's work and I suggest you do to! :)

Primula Bond - The Silver Chain

The Silver Chain Book 1 of 3
When I  started writing reviews I swore I'd be 100% honest in them without thinking too much about the writers (since it's highly unlikely they'll read it anyway) and I've kept that in mind for this review
I struggled to get into this story, I found a lot of the chapters confusing and almost pointless, not In the sense that they served little purpose but that they didn't all tie together to make a whole story, it was as thought someone thought of ten ideas and stuck them together, a lot of the time I was wondering why Serena had such a problem with Gustav's actions, he seemed to genuinely care for her and we could all see that but for some reason she tried to bolt at every chance, there are a lot of questions left unanswered and the ending was a true shock so I'm left excited bout book 2 however I feel re-reading the book before I start the next may make them flow better, the book starts with a young girl looking to start a fresh and ends with her in deep with a man twice her age, who she barely knows and has only been with a handful of times...it's very drama filled and not as erotic as I expected so we'll see what the rest of this trilogy brings.
Story 4 (too much work trying to grasp why things kept going wrong)

Ashley Blake - The Billionaires Desire: Bonus Book: Always and forever Part 2 of 2

The Billionaires Desire: Bonus Book: Always and forever Part 2 of 2 (I think, i assumed there would be a part 2 of 2 for Breakable bonds but i wasn't able to find it nor did i find a part 1 of Always and Forever)
It was touch and go throughout this story, i found after all the years the book had gone through Joshua still spoke to Sarah like they were under contract, it stopped me warming to him so much, I understood the hurt from both parties and did expect to find an underlined issue but it seemed to come right for the couple in the end, i took a dislike to quite a few of the characters and felt there was unfinished business with Natalia and Paolo but we'll see, there are other addons to this story based around other Characters  so i'm sure we'll hear about them again.
I didn't enjoy this story as much as the other 4 simply because i felt the intimate scenes were based on blow jobs and anal, sorry to be blunt but it always contained one of the other and neither are  show of love which made Joshua seems like an even more distant character. I'll be sure to read other work by Ashley Blake and hopefully snippets from other books will fill in what i felt was missing from this one.
Story: 4 (i just felt the book wasn't quite finished)

The Billionaires Desire: Bonus Book: Breakable bonds part 1 of 2
Woah!! did that really just happen, after everything seems set to be so perfect forever more an ex shows her face and a colleague steps over the line, clearly they have been too happy together, things are really shaky from here and part 2 of 2 will show us if it's make or break time, i can't say much without giving away what's going on but i'm glad i looked further into Ashley Blakes work and found the extra books.

Ashley Blake - The Billionaires Desire: Book 3 'Ultimate Bliss'

Book 3 of 3 (plus 2 bonus books)

The third book in this trilogy was definitely my favourite, we hear about a second but just as beautiful Hunter that also seems to want Sarah, a possible crack is Joshua's hard exterior and a mother who seems to accept very few people into her life.
It's full of lust, desire and jealousy but in the end all is well and Joshua admits his feelings. It's another all round great story, i don't feel we really got to know what Joshua was feeling much of the time but the heavy lust scene's clearly showed Sarah what she needed.
All in all the trilogy is a good one and i recommend any Erotica reader add these books to their collect.

Book 2 of 3 (there is also 2 bonus books)
Another great story from Ashley Blake, part 2 was steamier than part one but also added a hint of mutual feelings which i’m hoping we’ll learn more about in part 3, the only problem i had with this book was one of the intimate scene’s doubled on the actions (he fell to his knee’s twice, unzipped her dress alot ect) but it was another story i’d recommend and as it keeps getting more and more exciting i’m looking forward to reading part 2.

This book does exactly what it says on the tin, it's a short story filled with lust, sex and a hot billionaire, the story starts off mysterious, exciting and a little bit lusty, the middle is full of desire, wishful thinking and some awkward moments (for the main character) and the end leaves you anxious to read more, excited for what's to come and googling the author to find more of her work :)

Story: 5
Characters: 5
Cover: 5

Great short read, will be sure to follow this one

D.W.Cee - Entwined

Entwined
I just finished reading this book and I'm still reeling in it, it was jam packed with confusion, upset, turmoil and love.
The story is about a man and women that meet, fall in love and have a child, when the man leaves this earth (or the earth in the book) she then find another man, falls in love and a has a child however with so many twists and turns it's hard to keep up, after reading the snippet given at the end of Jake's story I couldn't stop thinking about it, I was shocked by the age of the characters and how exasperated everyone seemed through out the story, I felt both bad for Paul and happy for Olivia, Ollie sounded wonderful and Ian must of been Paul reincarnated, all in all it was a wonderful love story, the sex filled out less than half  page through out the whole story which made a change for me and not entirely a bad one. I do wish D.w.cee would dabble into the sex scene at least a little since the love was so explosive, I was confused to begin with how there could be two Olivia's in the story when I read the first chapter and the free snippet and it took me a few chapters to figure it out, I was also a little taken aback when Olivia not only had a baby at 40 but also another at 47 but overall if your looking for a love story that'll keep you on your toes and keep you thinking this is it.

Story: 4.8 (6 years with no contacted except a slammed door? any love that strong would of found a way, even just a text to explain)
Characters 4.5 (I found Dani hard work to keep up with, almost felt her input was quite pointless)
Cover: 4.5 beautiful and simple but I didn't see how it connected to the story
Overall, go read it for sure if you like a good love story and a good cry, if your looking for erotica go elsewhere as you won't find any here

Saskia Walker - Going Down

Going Down
I have to say that this was a story that caught my attention from the very beginning and then left me a little lost, I enjoyed the chase and maybe i was hoping for a little more of that before it felt like all the sex, lust, rock and roll where crammed into the last few pages, i wanted the story to carry on a little more, stretch out the period in which all the excitement went on for, no so much the time frame in which it was set but a few more pages to give us a little more detail on the goings on rather that the 'in and out' if you like.
I'll be sure to check out Saskia Walker's work in future but wouldn't recommend this story for those that don't like to be left hanging.

Story: 3.5 (i needed more information between the sex)
Characters: 4.5 (i didn't feel a connection to Armand)
Cover: N/A (it was part of a 6 story book so no cover was offered)

Eden Bradley - Night Moves

I won't lie, i've read Edens work before but this was the first short story i'd read by her, wow! if you want lust, voyeurism and exhibitionism all rolled into one this is perfect! There aren't many books that stray from boys meets girl, girl falls for boy, they have kinky/car/field sex but this didn't start like that at all, this started with girl gets on train, girl gets turned on....in comes random man = sex which was really refreshing to read.
I have to say i don't find the term 'girl' endearing so all though i understood it's a standard term for surfer type boys but other than that the story was really good :)
I look forward to reviewing more of Eden's work since i have another 2 books + 1 on pre-order
Story: 5
Characters: 4.8 (everything was perfect except for the southern drawl of 'girl' used too often for me)
Cover: N/A (this story was part of 6 story book so no cover was offered)
Enjoy :D x TJ

Alison Tyler - Cuffing Kate

Cuffing Kate
I just finished reading this story, I have to say it's not one i'd re-read, I didn't seem to connect with it very well, I found the smaller details were explained too much and the main story dragged, we were given a lot of detail on the day to day life of Kate and her room mate but no only did she lack any real character (i'd of gone ape if my flat mate had told a guy I liked about my bedroom antics)  I felt like we learnt a lot about the flat mate and little about Kate when it should of been the other way around, i'm use to slow started and over detailed beginning on long stories (2 books or more) but in a short story it lacked any amount of lusty parts and too much informing.

Story: 3 (just not exciting enough)
Cover: N/A (part of a 6 story collaboration book so no cover offered)
Charaters: 4 (I feel like we didn't delver deep enough with Jules and too deep with Sonia)
I'd look at purchasing another possibly longer story and still following Alison :)
